The AC in the bedroom of my Airbnb is really powerful, so lovely in fact. But on day 3 I am in bed reading and the power goes out. Now back in Haiti I see this as it is (life); wait until the sun comes up to power the batteries, or maybe one of us will fire up the generator. And in the morning’s I turn on the shower and wait for the water to get warm before getting in. Seriously? In Haiti I just step right in to the cold shower. But charge the context and I’m not happy… there is power and water here, after all it’s a developed country. In fact San Juan, capital of Puerto Rico is the 4th largest city in the US.
Wandering around the ‘Old Town’ later I notice Spiderman, with his mask down riding a skateboard. What a let down. Not to worry moments later I see Dead Pool, we stop and talk a moment. Apparently Spiderman was his friend (but I think he meant they were both Marvel). But he wasnt letting his guard down. This grown man kept his complete costume in tact for the walk home – including the samurai swords and pistol on his belt. Which I assume was real, after all this is ‘merica.

Hi Phil,
Just reading about the assassination of the Haitian President. Hope there’s no unrest as a result.
